Lansdowne Gardens wins 2013 Better Practice Award
Lansdowne Gardens is very excited to have won an award at the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency’s Annual Better Practice Awards 2013. These awards recognise quality improvement and better practice in aged care and serve as exemplars to encourage improvement and innovation and recognise the aged care industry’s high achievers.
Lansdowne Gardens was granted the award for its Men’s Boardroom Luncheon Series which was established for the gentlemen at Lansdowne Gardens in recognition that many like to keep up to date with business matters and that they find many of the activities and outings female oriented. The objective of the series is to encourage the gentlemen to keep an active mind, build relationships with other male residents, provide a social network of men and a connection to the business community.
In March, the Sydney Royal Yacht Squadron in Kirribilli was the latest venue for this Men’s Boardroom Luncheon, with historian Lance Chaple providing the gentlemen a history of the area.
